Hungarian Genealogist & Heraldic Artist
Tracing Hungarian lineages and uncovering family stories with over a decade of expertise in Hungarian genealogy.
As a professional investigator, I bring a unique skill set to my research, skilled at analyzing and untangling complex networks to deliver the highest quality genealogical services. In addition to research, I specialize in heraldic art, using digital vector graphics to recreate historical coats of arms and design modern assumed arms for clients worldwide.
An Introduction
My passion for uncovering Hungarian family histories began in 2013, when I first delved into genealogy as a hobby. I earned my bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Social Sciences at Eötvös Loránd University, Hungary's oldest educational institution, in 2017. Around that time, I became actively involved in assisting others - particularly English speakers - with their Hungarian genealogy research. I co-authored a popular genealogy website and created a variety of guides and references to help amateur genealogists navigate the complexities of Hungarian research, which I plan to update and re-publish again.
Since 2017, my professional career has led me to being involved in a range of different investigative roles. I currently work as a Senior Financial Crime Investigator at a financial institution, where I specialize in analyzing complex criminal networks. My educational background in social sciences combined with my professional experience helps me untangle more intricate connections during genealogical research, ensuring a level of quality that is only matched by a few.
Beyond genealogy, I have over a decade of experience in graphic design and a deep interest in heraldry. I am a keen antique book collector and have my own private library of rare books which I use as references and guides during my research, as well as during the design process. As a designer, I focus on heraldry and typography, the latter of which I learned from original 19th-century sources like MacKellar's "The American Printer" and Alexander Waldows's "Die Lehre vom Accidenzsatz". Using original 19th-century type specimen books, I am also involved in recreating old typefaces and printing ornaments from the era, which I use for my designs, and some of which I also publish on my Creative Market storefront.
